The Giant Race Series

Celebrating it’s fifteenth year in 2024, the Giant Race series originally celebrated four cities with ties to the MLB organization: San Francisco, of course; Sacramento, the then-home of the AAA Rivercats; San Jose, home of the team’s AA organization; and Scottsdale, the Giants Spring Training home. 

In 2016, I was tasked with refreshing the event’s visual brand. I created a logo that lends itself to both running, with the footprint, and baseball, with the homeplate. I provided a way to easily change the location while everything else remains intact. In addition to race day environmental graphics, I also created each city’s runners’ bibs, the participants t-shirts, and all marketing and advertising materials. A testament to its longevity and ease of use, the logo I created is still in use nearly ten years later.
